Templates Overview
Use Podifai-provided templates or create your own custom template to reuse the same option set across many products.
Podifai supports two kinds of templates: Podifai-provided templates (pre-built configurations you can apply with one click — available today) and custom templates that let you reuse the same option set across many products and keep them in sync (coming soon).
What Are Templates?
A template in Podifai is a saved customizer configuration — the full set of options, labels, pricing, conditional logic, and Live Preview placement. Templates save you setup time and let you keep many products consistent.
There are two kinds of templates in Podifai:
- Podifai templates (available today) — Pre-built, curated configurations for common use cases across sporting goods, gifts, apparel & accessories, home & deco, and jewelry. Apply with one click and customize to fit your products.
- Custom templates (coming soon) — Templates you'll create yourself from your own option set, to apply the same options to many products and keep them in sync.
How to Use a Podifai Template
- Go to Templates in the Podifai dashboard.
- Browse available templates by category or search for a specific use case.
- Hover a template card and click View Demo to see a live example (optional).
- Click Use Template, then select a product to apply it to.
- Modify the options, labels, and pricing as needed in the editor.

Custom Templates: Reuse One Option Set Across Many Products (Coming Soon)
If you want the same custom options on many products — for example, the same engraving setup across every ring in your catalog, or the same print-customization options on every t-shirt — custom templates will let you save your option set once and apply it to as many products as you need.
How custom templates will work:
- Build once, apply to many. Configure your options, pricing, conditional logic, and Live Preview on a setup you like, then save it as a custom template from the Templates section in the Podifai dashboard.
- Apply the template to multiple products. Each linked product will inherit the same option set automatically — no need to rebuild it product by product.
- Edit the template once, all linked products update. Changes to a custom template (adding an option, adjusting pricing, tweaking a label) will propagate to every product linked to that template, keeping them in sync.

Custom templates will let you create your own template from an existing option set and reuse it across multiple products, with edits syncing automatically. Custom templates are coming soon and not yet available in the dashboard.
Can I apply the same custom options to many products at once?
Custom templates are coming soon. The feature will let you save your option set as a custom template in the Podifai dashboard and apply it to as many products as you need, with each linked product inheriting the same options, labels, pricing, conditional logic, and Live Preview layout. For now, you can apply a Podifai-provided template to one product at a time.
If I change a custom template, will all products using it update automatically?
That sync behavior is part of the custom templates feature, which is coming soon. Once released, editing a custom template will update every product linked to it automatically — you won't need to open each product individually. We'll announce availability in the Podifai dashboard when it ships.
How do I create a custom template in Podifai?
Custom templates are not available yet — the feature is coming soon. When it launches, you'll be able to save an existing option set as a custom template from the Templates section in the Podifai dashboard and apply it to any product in your store. For now, start from a Podifai-provided template and customize it per product.
